Occurrence remarks The Marine Algae of the Southern Great Barrier Reef. This is part of a voucher collection listed on page 340 of Kraft & Olsen-Stojkovich (1985), Avrainvillea calithina (sic.) (Udoteaceae, Bryopsidales), a new green alga from Lord Howe Island, NSW, Australia. Phycologia 24: 339-345. The orthographic error (calithina) is corrected (to calathina) on page 609 of Kraft (2000), Marine Estuarine Benthic Green Algae (Chlorophyta) of Lord Howe Island, South-western Pacific. Australian Systematic Botany 13: 509-648The specimen is cited on p. 222 in Kraft (2007), Marine Benthic Algae of Lord Howe Island and the southern Great Barrier Reef, 1. Green Algae.
