Identification remarks This species is relatively common in Australia. The colour varies from bright green to dark green or brown or burgundy. The patterning is variable from white bands along the entire length to only one band on the head with a distinctive forward pointing v shape, as shown in your photos. A similar species, Notospermus tricuspidatus, is recognised by the distinct wave or zigzag white line which goes around the entire head.
