Occurrence remarks Fan leafed palm 6 m high x 10 cm dbh. Leaflets 21m 10 either side of midrib; 19 ribbed folding surfaces. Length 87-90 cm, some lateral leaflets fuse at distal end. Each leaflet tends to have 5-8 folding lobes, 2 outer leaflets most narrow. All leaflets taper markedly towards the petiole. Petiole 2.5m, basally fibrous; leaf sheath 30 cm, barbed laterally along one edge for 60 cm. Inflorescence within the leaves, up to 1.4 m long; 10 lateral branches 42-20 cm long. Peduncle 50 cm long. Fruit in FAA. Tree
