Identification remarks Cycloporus variegatus and Cycloporus australis are differentiated by: Cycloporus australis: translucent with fine white spots identified by the species author as ovaries and very indistinct tentacles Cycloporus variegatus: yellow pigmented spots and more prominent yellow tentacles This all assumes that these are in fact two different species! This photograph is a very close match to the Neville Coleman photograph of the type specimen of Cycloporus australis.
