Occurrence remarks Bush to 1m in understorey; leaves leathery to c. 15cm; flowers and fruit mainly Nov and Dec; fruit has large soft spikes. Photo of flower taken 7 Nov 2004. Specimen collected and photo of fruit taken 11 May 2005, but was a single fruit and appears to be an aberration after rain period.

Creek floodplain and riparian; metamorphic rocks (phyllite shale - Kin Kin beds) and alluvial along creek; cleared paddocks and remnant riparian mixed rainforest, predominantly dry rainforest species, with some subtropical and dry sclerophyll species, dominated by Waterhousea floribunda and woody vines.
