Occurrence remarks Occasional. Single-stemmed shrub, 1.2 m high x 1 m wide. Perianth red with orange centre and style red. Plants regenerating after fire. These specimens have longer leaves than subsp. moroka but have thick peduncles. Leaf undersurface is sparsely tomentose.
