Occurrence remarks A lone plant overlooked by the property manager during a recent herbicide based attempt at eradication of this serious weed from the farm in question. (FTR I'm dismayed at the seemingly unchecked and rapid spread of this cactus in many surrounding areas. Some very large pastoral properties have vast paddocks dotted to the horizon with these cacti, readily visible from the road, and in many cases we saw no evidence of any attempt to control it's establishment and spread)
