Field notes Transcription of notebook 85 of K. H. L. Key's field notebook collection in the Australian National Insect Collection (ANIC). The collector was Lew Chinnick, on the 'Central North-West Expedition' of the ANIC, accompanied by Ray McInnes, John Dowse and D. D. Westall, as well as C. S. Hale between Giles and Alice Springs. The trip left from Canberra and collecting started in Port Augusta South Australia, heading up through NW South Australia and out to Jupiter Well in Western Australia, then to Alice Springs in the Northern Territory and north-west to the Kimberley in Western Australia, then south through the Pilbara via Meekatharra and south to Norseman in Western Australia and then back east along the Nullarbor. See p. 104 in Upton, M.S. (1997). A rich and diverse Fauna: the history of the Australian National Insect Collection 1926-1991. CSIRO Publishing, Collingwood, Victoria.
Occurrence remarks Sand Plain Sand plain bearing Triodia basedowii with scattered clumps of Acacia aneura. Area as a flat between red sand dunes. Corresponds to ANIC Warramunga pw11a/9 accession 14-007486, which is incorrectly geocoded in ANIC's database. Carbon copy of notebook has mentioned the Azelota sp1 but original copy mentioned it as GenusNov95 sp1
