Field notes Transcription of notebook 85 of K. H. L. Key's field notebook collection in the Australian National Insect Collection (ANIC). The collector was Lew Chinnick, on the 'Central North-West Expedition' of the ANIC, accompanied by Ray McInnes, John Dowse and D. D. Westall, as well as C. S. Hale between Giles and Alice Springs. The trip left from Canberra and collecting started in Port Augusta South Australia, heading up through NW South Australia and out to Jupiter Well in Western Australia, then to Alice Springs in the Northern Territory and north-west to the Kimberley in Western Australia, then south through the Pilbara via Meekatharra and south to Norseman in Western Australia and then back east along the Nullarbor. Occurrence remarks Ecotone of Acacia aneura scrub with a basal ground cover of Triodia pungens. Nearby a water carrying basin present ringed with Eucalyptus papuana. Mixed grass cover of Enneapogon, Aristida pruinosa, with the Tiodia. Miscellaneous dicots present including Sida sp., Salsola sp., etc. Odd Cassia sp. and Eremophila shrub appeareed amongst the mulga. Area green. Many small nymphs. Many small nymphs.
