Occurrence remarks Fraser Island, c. 4km west of Valley of the Giants. Vegetation: Eucalyptus, Leptospermum, Allocasuarina. Habit: solitary, on sand. Pileus 65mm broad, dry, pink (10A3) toward margin, darker on disc (10E-F6), tomentose. Flesh pale yellowish white to white, unchanging with mild odour and taste. Tubes adnexed to deeply adnexed, pale greyish pink, unchanging. Stipe 70 by 15mm, curved, equal, dry, whitish to pale yellowish above, with pink scabers confined to a fine reticulum, chrome yellow at base, with interior yellowish white, solid, unchanging, chrome yellow at base.
