Locality Flinders Island, Furneaux Group, Bass Straits. Darling Range. About 535 metres just west of south of Mt Counsel summit.
Habitat
Supplied as "Gently sloping top of a low granite block that carries {Flavoparmelia, Cladia aggregata, Usnea} sp., {Parmelia signifera} and a {Xanthoparmelia}, among others. {Eucalyptus nitida} (to 7.8 m, c. 60%, their crowns missed by the latest fire (i.2003) but all damaged by prior fires). The local understorey is sparse: {Lepidosperma elatius} (c. 59%), one {Xanthorrhoea australis}, three {Zieria arborescens} (to 75 cm) and two {Kunzea ambigua} (to 4.5 m)."
