Occurrence remarks Erect tree 15 to 20 ft high (usually 20 to 30 ft) with very shiny green leaves and more or less drooping branchlets; bark smooth and white throughout; trunk 6 inches diam. (up to 18 inches diam.) and 4 to 5 ft high. Dominant. L. Johnson Letter 4 May 1961 re Lazarides 6441 and 6458: These fall within the limits of E. brevifolia F. Muell. as defined, correctly I think, by Blake. The correct citation for the name E. confluens is W.V.Fitzg. ex Maiden.
