Locality Herberton Range, near topo "967", W of Tolga.
Habitat Mosaic of burnt and unburnt windswept and exposed heath on rhyolite, skeletal soil. Dominant shrubs: Melaleuca borealis, Acacia calyculata, Leucopogon, Acacia whitei and Jacksonia. Small dense patch of Melaleuca uxorum. Emergent shrubby Eucalyptus lockyeri, Corymbia intermedia and Euc. shirleyi. Many herbs: Themeda, Eragostis, Coronidium, Schoenus, Xanthorrhoea and Praxelis.
