Event

Dataset / Survey name Barker Inlet North Wetland 200m x 200m Bird Transect
Event ID c92285e0-6084-404f-95b2-1d0964eba908
Occurrence date 2022-10-02
Supplied date "2022-10-01T14:30:00Z"
Event remarks 30 species were sighted, highlights were 3 Caspian terns (3rd sighting since Northern Connector opened), 8 Galahs flying over (2nd sighting since Northern Connector opened), 2 Common Greenshank (a migratory shorebird last sighted on the wetland in January). Surprised at the small numbers of birds seen within a species (for example duck numbers very low). South ponds water appeared low and a lot of algal growth. Plants on the embankment growing very well and obviously benefitted from the recent rain and warmer temperatures.
