Occurrence remarks Annual herb, erect or with several stems shortly procumbent then erect. Most individuals a bright light green, a few were darker. Flora of the Pilbara Biogeographical Region. Map Street 1:250 000 Newman.

Locality Hamersley Ranges, large gully on the W (upper) side of an unnamed hill near Indabiddy Creek, 26.8 km SW of Mt Ella.
Habitat
Supplied as "Below the south facing cliffs of the wall of a large gully on the west side of a large hill. Soil: red-brown pebbly/rocky loam amongst boulders. Eucalyptus leucophloia, Acacia rhodophloia, Acacia aneura low woodland over Eremophila sp. high open shrubland over Ptilotus obovatus low shrubland over Polectrachne sp. Mt Ella, Triodia pungens open hummock grassland. Associated species: Rhodanthe margarethae, Taplinia saxatilis, Sida aff. filiformis (MET12,780), Chenopodium saxatile, Oxalis aaf. corniculata, Canthium latifolium, Astrotricha hamptonii (on the cliffs), Lovelia sp., Eriachne mucronata, Cheilanthes humilus? The Acacia rhodophloia was 6 m tall with straight stems. The Taplinia occurs a couple of metres away from the cliffs, forming a separate population to the Rhodanthe margaretae just under the cliffs."
