Occurrence remarks | Population estimate: Occasional and scattered, 80-200 mature plants within 200 hectare mountain forest protected for watershed buffer zone. Within Ati tribal (Borneon origin) land and thus under threat by local agricultural encroachment. Material has been collected with a written Letter of Prior Consent signed by local Ati tribe leader and two witnesses. Stem; 283 cm tall, 20 cm minimum diameter. Leaf length; 207 cm, petiole length; 46 cm, 100 % spinescence, Pinnae number; 93-116. Female plant. |
