Occurrence remarks Locally common but not generally so. Calyx, pedicel, buds often slightly purple-tinged. Ovary surrounded at base by fleshy red annular nectary. Flowers much smaller than on nearby vigorous single-stemmed seedlings (cf. Haegi 1451)
