Occurrence remarks | A beautiful green scarab beetle, attracted to light on my balcony at night. Body length approx. 2.0 cm. Apple green in colour, with reddish brown and yellow edgings to the elytra and head plates. Upper legs are apple green, and lower legs reddish brown. The elytra are covered with longitudinal lines of pits. The underside of the head and abdomen are reddish brown, and the underside of the thorax is green. The underside, upper legs and between the head plates is covered with fine white hairs. I think the species is probably Anoplognathus prasinus, but possibly A. punctulatus. |
