Field notes Old remnant tree ca. 10 metres high, crown 20 metres across. Trunk ca. 80 cm across near base. Lower two metres of the trunk have thick, rough, grey, then grading to flaky strips and then gumbarked. Leaves pendulous, flat or undulate, coriaceous, somewhat firm, concolorous, mid to dark green, glossy, apparently glandless and hardly scented.
