Field notes Perennial herb to 80 cm. Ligule membranous and auriculate. Spikelet 3.7 mm long x 1.1 mm wide. Lower glume 2.0 mm long, 5-nerved; upper glume 3.4 mm long, 7-nerved; lower sterile lemma 3.3 mm long, palea 0.4 mm long; upper fertile lemma 2.2 mm long, smooth, apiculate, palea bifid.
