Occurrence remarks Shrub to 4 m tall; stems densely lenticellate; flowers monoecious, male white, sepals often with red flush, female very occasionally with second female or male spike extending above; mature fruit green, whitish towards base, seeds brown, bract continuing to enlarge from dispersal of capsule until abscission. Substantial population surrounding Isabella Falls. Flowers and fruit in FAA (Spirit # 11670). Shrub
