Field notes Transcription of notebook 85 of K. H. L. Key's field notebook collection in the Australian National Insect Collection (ANIC). The collector was Lew Chinnick, on a large trip from Adelaide in South Australia to Elliot in the Northern Territory, across to Halls Creek and Derby, then Wyndham, in Western Australia, up to Katherine, Northern Territory, then across to Longreach, Queensland.
Occurrence remarks Red sand Sand plain Red sand plain with Acacia sowdenii in park land density with Kochia sedifolia, Georgei and Atriplex veiscaria scattered throughout. Odd Rhagodia sp. present. Moraba male [CH236-237] on Kochia sedifolia, Beplessia sp. nymph, Keyacris? The distance between Bookaloo and Woocalla is 18.5 miles on Google Earth but odometer recorded it as 20 miles. I have considered this for location selection. I used Old Stuart Hwy. I have reported the mismatch in the Location uncertainty column.
