Event remarks Sunny and slight breeze intially but wind built up as the survey progressed. Water levels were quite high but the track at the outlet (Top of Quadrant M) was dry. Algae growing strongly in top ponds, other vegetation very green and mostly looking healthy. 32 species were sighted but the number of birds counted within a species seemed to be much lower than usual (most likely due to the widespread rain over most of Australia. Several pairs of Swans had cygnets and similarly several Black duck had ducklings in various stages of development
