Country Australia
State or territory Victoria
Local government area Loddon - North
Locality Firetail Birding Tours - Central Victoria Tour, This area includes the Bendigo region in the south up to the Murray river near Cohuna and across to Boort/Wychitella and Wedderburn in the west. The southern parts of this area include many wooded national parks and state forests, with a rich diversity of vegetation types. Further north the foothills give way to extensive flat plains country, where irrigated farmland, small wetlands and pockets of native grassland attract a different avifauna. The Terrick Terrick national park preserves the largest native pine forest remaining in Victoria, and the nearby Gunbower island is the largest River Red Gum forest in the state, adjacent to the mighty Murray river.,

locality Firetail Birding Tours - Central Victoria Tour, This area includes the Bendigo region in the south up to the Murray river near Cohuna and across to Boort/Wychitella and Wedderburn in the west.
